The Edgerton papers. 1763-1773.

Photocopy of papers kept by the proprietors of Plantation Number 3 of the Massachusetts Bay Province. The proprietors, John Worthington of Springfield, Josiah Dwight of Springfield, Timothy Dwight, Jr., of Northampton, Salah Barnard of Deerfield, and Aaron Willard of Lancaster, purchased the land at a public auction held in Boston on June 2, 1762. The papers record the proprietor's meetings, surveys of the land, and bills and receipts for road, building, bridge, and mill work.
